Syscofy Mobile (App) Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 December 2025
Overview
Syscofy Mobile (the “App”) is a client application used by organizations that run Syscofy systems.
The App connects to the site (base URL) you choose at login and performs actions on your behalf.
This policy describes how the App handles information and why it requests certain device permissions.
What the App Connects To
- The App communicates with the Syscofy site you log into (your organization’s server).
- Your organization (and its server operator) determines what data is stored on that server and who can access it.
Permissions and Why They’re Needed
The App may request the following permissions only when you use related features:
- Camera (
android.permission.CAMERA): to capture photos/videos for attachments
(e.g., attaching evidence to a Work Order).
- Microphone (
android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO): to record audio when capturing video
attachments (if your device/camera flow includes audio).
- Contacts (
android.permission.READ_CONTACTS): to let you pick a contact from your
address book when filling customer/contact details.
You can deny these permissions; the related feature may not work.
Information the App Processes
Depending on how you use the App, it may process:
- Login and session information: the App uses session-cookie authentication with your selected
server and stores session cookies locally (secure storage) to keep you signed in.
- Work content you create or view: such as work orders, customers, sales orders, notes, and
attachments, as provided by your server.
- Attachments you choose: photos/videos/files you pick or capture are processed so they can be
uploaded to your server.
- Contacts (optional): if you choose to import/pick a contact, the App reads the selected
contact’s details for that action.
Where Data Is Stored
- On your device: the App stores certain configuration and session details locally (for example,
the last-used server URL and session cookie header) to operate.
- On your organization’s server: operational records and uploads (including attachments) are
stored on the server you connect to.
Sharing
- The App sends data to the server you choose at login in order to provide the service.
- The App does not include third-party analytics SDKs for tracking user behavior.
Security
- The App uses secure local storage for session cookies where supported.
- Network security and access controls for your organization’s data depend on your organization’s server
configuration.
Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for business/organizational use and is not designed for children.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in features, permissions, or legal requirements.
Contact
